MOVIESinMO REVIEW
They are back, and it’s like they never left. The multiple stories seem a bit more complex than the previous installments, but not so much as to take away from the fun. The movie starts with that Mike and Marcus speeding scene in the Porsche, the one seen in the trailer. After that, the tone of the entire film is set. Mike wants to do dangerous cop stuff forever and Marcus wants to retire. This creates a large amount of tension between our central detectives and even more issues at the station. There’s a new, younger crew of officers with the intent of taking the place of the “old guys” called AMMO (Advanced Miami Metro Operations). Even more bad news was the discovery of their boss, Rita, Mike’s old girlfriend. The other plot involves a cartel Mother and son (Isabel & Armando), attempting to reclaim territory to solidify their name within the underworld. This gives the movie more substance and a better story than the other two films combined. Ultimately, both stories start to intersect when certain people are murdered at the hand of Armando via his mother’s instructions. The rest of the film consists of disagreements between Mike, Marcus, The Chief, and AMMO on the right side. And Isabel & Armando, along with the gang members they forcefully took control of on the wrong side. Once the full story comes together, it becomes clear what has to be done on both sides, considering neither team did what they were ordered to do. Of course, it’s up to our favorite detectives to solve the case as you soon find out just how connected everything actually is. Lots of action, car chases, shootouts, and tons of surprises make Bad Boys For Life a must-see movie for those looking for a fun, action-packed ride. Don’t leave too early or you’ll miss the last scene.
