WHY IT’S GONE
Like most movies, it’s a concept that has been done before. Based on the other films’ lack of availability with a similar plot, apparently no one can write a decent story. The other films, Outside Ozona (1998), Open House (1987), are also gone but Don’t Answer the Phone (1980) has an uncut version for sale on Amazon. While none of these films are worth the time to watch, it just makes me wonder what the criteria was to keep Don’t Answer the Phone in circulation. As for Dead Air, most of Gregory Hines films are out of print or sold at ridiculous prices.
