WHAT’S IT ABOUT
Nels Coxman’s quiet life as a snowplow driver comes crashing down when his beloved son dies under mysterious circumstances. His search for the truth soon becomes a quest for revenge against a psychotic drug lord named Viking and his sleazy henchmen. Transformed from an upstanding citizen to a cold-blooded vigilante, Coxman unwittingly sets off a chain of events that includes kidnapping, a series of deadly misunderstandings, and a turf war between Viking and a rival boss.
MOVIESinMO Review
Interestingly boring. After Liam Neeson’s racist comment, I wasn’t sure if I was going to spend the time or money on this movie but I’m quite sure if this movie was half as good as the trailer claims it to be, all of those “he didn’t really mean it” critics would praise the film just because. Well, I saw the movie and it’s not worth the ticket price. It starts off slow and ramps up to boring. The dialog is pointless and the story is typical for a Liam Neeson film. Unlike Taken where he goes around killing people, in Cold Pursuit, he’s trying to avenge his son’s death but karma seems to beat him there. If I had to mention the best parts, they would all include death scenes. They’re quick, to the point and mostly unexpected. Actually, the above plot IS the whole movie. Overall, this movie is a waste of time and I would only recommend watching if it was on TV after midnight and you needed help sleeping.
