MOVIESinMO REVIEW
I can’t believe this thing was shown in theaters. Nothing is redeeming about this movie. It starts with a dream and tries to explain itself throughout the entire film. Apparently, Carly, the main character, hates her mother, Angela. You only need to sit through about 25 minutes of pointless and unnecessary conversations with other pointless and unnecessary characters to find this out. Every scene and every bit of dialog is said as if you were there and you already knew what was going on. Then there are the sudden changes. I would typically call them plot twists, but there wasn’t much of a plot to twist. Like most people, I saw the trailer, and I read the synopsis. Then I saw the movie waiting for those things to happen. Where were the terrifying demons and supernatural forces the description mentioned? Where’s all the evil, the conflict, the horror, the demonic possession they show in the trailer? Well, the movie is one hour and forty-four minutes long, and the first twenty-five minutes are wasted on following Carly, ultimately finding out how she feels about her mother. The rest of the film drags along, showing snippets and hinting at the whole demon thing. Finally, there’s the ending, which makes up ninety percent of the trailer. I could go on and on about how bad this movie is with the soap opera style of acting, bad special effects, worthless plots, and so on, but there are people that like (or love) horrible movies.
