What’s It About
After civilization succumbs to a deadly pandemic and his wife is murdered, John Wood – a special forces soldier – abandons his duty and becomes a hermit in the Nordic wilderness. Years later, a wounded woman appears on his doorstep. Maria Johnson is an escaped lab rat, and her pursuers believe her blood is the key to a worldwide cure. Though John is hesitant to get involved, all doubts are cast aside when he discovers Maria’s pursuer is none other than Commander Stone, the man that murdered his wife some years ago.
MOVIESinMO REVIEW
Another movie taking advantage of people’s obsession with a post-apocalyptic world. From the first words spoken, it became easy to tell that Last Man Standing would be a challenge to watch. The movie opens with a written explanation of what has happened to the world. From there, we see the hero, John, being interrogated for information, or his wife will be killed. Once you hear the actors speak, you know immediately this movie is going to suck. Unfortunately, that was an understatement. The dialog was cringeworthy. The acting was amateur, and the fight scenes were horrible. I know some actors star in bad movies just for the paycheck. Last Man Standing wasn’t worth the permanent damage being in this crap would have done to any actor’s resume’. Daniel Stisen, the main guy in this movie, is your basic bodybuilder turned actor over twelve years ago, and this is the mess he chose as his breakout role. Not surprising that none of the other actors in this movie have been in anything Oscar-worthy. BloodRayne, Elektra, The Hike, Gain. It’s a long list of C-movies that I can’t even say are so bad they’re good. Last Man Standing is now added to that list, and no amount of drugs will make it better.
