MOVIESinMO REVIEW
I’ll get straight to the point, The Commando sucks. I love Michael Jai White, so I gave it a chance. Big mistake. There’s no part of this film worth redeeming. As the story goes, Johnny, a disgraced soldier getting released from prison, meets with his brothers to get the money he hid in a house before going to jail. That house belongs to the Baker family – Michael Jai White, his wife, and 2 daughters. James Baker, a DEA agent who came home with PTSD after his last mission, served no purpose to know, so that was a pointless detail. Next, Johnny’s brother’s case the home to retrieve the hidden money later. That’s the main story and the only reason for this film. The Commando is a ninety-minute movie, and it was an hour in before they got to the house to get the hidden stolen money. I sat through an hour of horrible acting and a useless script before they got to the reason for watching this crap. The last 30-minutes was a rush job of more lousy acting, stiff fight scenes, and that unforgiving script filled with nonsense that not even the most talented actor could have saved.
OUR RATING – A DOA 1
