What’s It About

In the aftermath of a personal tragedy, Harper retreats alone to the beautiful English countryside, hoping to find a place to heal. However, someone or something from the surrounding woods appears to be stalking her. What begins as simmering dread soon becomes a fully formed nightmare, inhabited by her darkest memories and fears.

MOVIESinMO REVIEW

Adding psychological and metamorphic levels to a movie does not make it good, nor does it make it thought-provoking. Without a clear and coherent story for the average moviegoer, it makes it frustratingly boring, stupid, and nonsensical. Not every writer, director, or producer has the skills to properly transfer their thoughts and ideas from script to screen. MEN is the perfect example of what not to do. The story starts simple enough with a young lady wanting to get away from everything and relax after having relationship issues. It should have been a straightforward plot, but they wanted you to think. In this case, they wanted you to overthink. Every part of Men has some sort of analogy regarding relationships or men or both. The film speaks above its target audience with pointless euphemisms that go nowhere unless you are currently a woman in trauma. For the rest of us, it’s a total snore-fest. The last scene is done to further prove their point and help get that proverbial message across. But it ultimately becomes one of the most disgusting parts of a downright confusing movie that tries way too hard to be innovative.
