MOVIESinMO REVIEW

The trailers for this movie DO NOT give anything away. When I saw the trailers, I thought “Why don’t they just cancel the camping trip and go back home?” I had no idea what I was in for, but I was so damn happy it wasn’t a stupid low-budget slasher movie. I saw this movie the first day it came out and it was so weird watching a movie where no one can make a sound. It was so quiet I had to stop eating because that was too noisy. A lady in my row coughed, and everybody around her turned and looked at her in disbelief. At that moment we all wanted to say “Shut the hell up are you trying to get them killed?” That’s just how intense it was. As I watched the movie, I found myself talking (quietly) to the screen. “Turn around” and “Damn, that had to hurt.” I looked around, and a couple of others were doing the same thing. That’s when you know it’s a good movie. A Quiet Place blew my expectation (although small) away, and I would love to see more. So let’s hope they take their time with the sequel.
