What’s It About
Nick O’Brien is the hard-drinking leader of the Regulators, an elite unit of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department. Ray Merrimen is the recently paroled leader of the Outlaws, a gang of ex-military men who use their expertise and tactical skills to evade the law. O’Brien, Merrimen and their crews soon find themselves on a direct collision course as the criminals hatch an elaborate plan for a seemingly impossible heist — the city’s Federal Reserve Bank.
MOVIESinMO REVIEW
From the trailer, it seems like this movie had some really good intention and unfortunately, that’s all it had. At the beginning of the film, a group of thieves got access to an armored truck. They devise a huge, very well thought out (but still impossible) plan and as long as everyone does their part, things will go smoothly. Gerald Butler plays Nick O’Brien, a detective hell-bent on catching the thieves responsible for the brazen armored truck theft. Pablo Schreiber, O’Shea Jackson Jr., and Curtis “50 Cent” Jackson are the main thieves looking for the ultimate score. The chemistry between the actors was ok, but the movie itself never went anywhere. Every fifteen minutes or so, I kept saying, “It’s about to go down,” or “Now we can get this thing started.” But it took forever to get started, and once it went down, you really didn’t care. They spend most of the movie planning to rob The Federal Reserve. That’s the point of the film, the only point of the film. Since the writer obviously didn’t think past the main theme, I see no reason why anyone would want to waste over 2 hours on this R rated mediocre movie, just to see the only part that matters; the last 10 minutes.
