MOVIESinMO Review

This movie is thrilling. Then it isn’t. This movie is scary. Then it isn’t. Pet Sematary is a damn good story. And now it’s not. With all the advancement they have made in film making, why is it so hard to make a good film? Pet Sematary has a lot of genuinely scary and thrilling parts in it. Too bad all of those good parts are surrounded by crappy parts. This is Pet Sematary’s problem throughout the entire film. Everything is fine and the movie has a good pace. Then things start to get creepy, and then. . . .nothing. Once again, a few things happen, it starts getting scary, and then . . . nothing. After the third time this happened, I didn’t care anymore. Whenever I saw something interesting, I could only wish it was in a better film. I guess this is how women feel when they say their partner doesn’t finish (almost, almost, almost there. . . . .  .nothing). This movie is much like that – an emotional rollercoaster. The worst part is they used the same damn tricks over and over and gave me the same damn results. Sadly, I sat there thinking it would be different the next time – but it wasn’t. Even the ending made me want to see more but I know if the movie had been five minutes longer, they would have screwed that up too.
