What’s It About

Poppy discovers that Branch and his four brothers were once part of her favorite boy band. When one of his siblings, Floyd, gets kidnapped by a pair of nefarious villains, Branch and Poppy embark on a harrowing and emotional journey to reunite the other brothers and rescue Floyd from a fate even worse than pop culture obscurity.

MOVIESinMO REVIEW

I guess the third time’s a charm. Trolls Band Together gives us more music, more dancing, and a decent moral about family. Poppy is the same overly energetic princess as usual, but this time, the entire film focuses on Branch. He has always been a significant part of the franchise, and now, he’s the whole story – sort of. This third installment continues the stories that started with the first movie and adds to it flawlessly. Trolls Band Together opens with a flashback of Branch’s past as a member of a top-rated boy band called BroZone. While on stage, things go wrong, and they break up. The present-day shows everything that has changed since the last film, and it is a lot if you haven’t been keeping up. The Trolls’ friendship with the Bergens and the multitude of Trolls from different music genres are present. This film adds long-lost brothers and sisters to the mix. But for that to happen, there has to be a long soul-searching musical journey, and Trolls 3 does not disappoint. Music has always been the driving force in the Trolls films, but this time, the music was 100% for adults. Even the dialog is geared more toward an older crowd. The kid parts consist of the very colorful characters and the positive attitudes of every character, especially Poppy. The story is strong enough to hold the attention of most kids and adults without sacrificing the quality of the Trolls franchise.
